Saturday, October 14: Santa Fe’s Ready to Read at the Santa Fe Railyard Plaza, 5-7:30 pm
This family friendly celebration of reading will feature a fall carnival put on by May Center parents, a story corner with Mayor Gonzales, a learning difference simulation, and representatives from citywide literacy organizations. Come learn about all the ways reading is important in our lives. The event will culminate with lighting up the Railyard Water Tower Red for literacy awareness at dark. Co-Sponsored by The Reading Group, a committee of the Santa Fe Birth 2 Career Collaborative.
Wednesday, November 15: Executive Function Skills in Your Home
What are executive function skills and how do they impact a person’s learning and success? This introduction to executive function will answer these questions and provide specific strategies for supporting a child’s EF skills at school and in the home. Presented by May Center Executive Director, Amy Miller.

This evening will explore the unique behavioral profile of children with attentional deficits, offering specific strategies for success. Featuring Juliana Ciano, ADD life coach.
Wednesday, March 7: Community Movie Night: Like Stars on Earth
Begins at 5:30 pm and includes a potluck dinner.
Back by popular demand, this heartwarming film follows the path of an eight year old boy with dyslexia and ADHD as he struggles with the shame of failure in a typical school setting until an art teacher recognizes his difference and helps him gain back his confidence. If you have not yet seen this extraordinary film, this is an evening not to be missed.
