May Center for Learning is currently hiring for the following positions:

Finance Manager
May Center for Learning, a nonprofit school and outreach center for students with learning differences in Santa Fe, is looking for a part time finance manager.  
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Full-charge bookkeeping/accounting A/P, A/R, payroll, reconciliations
  • Play a role in the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
  • Preparation and review of the monthly cash flow, board and treasurer reports
  • Oversee annual tax processes and interface with auditor
  • Review tuition contracts and track deferred revenue
  • Interface with customers and vendors to ensure that A/P & A/R remain current
  • Manage grants and grant allocation
  • Manage human resources policies and procedures including tracking employee benefits, time off, and other HR activities
  • The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in nonprofit accrual accounting
  • Experience in grant allocation and management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Empathetic, collaborative mindset
  • Interest and investment in May Center’s mission

May Center Tutor:
This is a part-time, school-year position at May Center. Number of clients and hours worked is based upon client demand and cannot be guaranteed. May Center Tutoring Director is seeking qualified candidates with a background in education.  Experience with special education, bilingual education, ESL, Academic Language Teaching/Therapy and/or familiarity working with students with learning differences is desirable. May Center offers tutoring in reading, writing, math, executive function, study skills, and homework help. Candidate must be willing to train in May Center methodology.
