Summer Programs

Early Childhood Summer Program:  June 17-August 2, 2019 (no class July 3 and 4)

The May Center Early Childhood Program combines hands-on work with Montessori materials to develop concentration, fine motor skills, creativity, and independence with specialized instruction in oral language development and pre-reading skills.  For children ages 3-5, including students who will be entering kindergarten in the fall.  

8:30-3:30 pm Daily:  $1950

4 day a week option available upon request. 

Summer LEAP Programs: July 8 - August 2, 2019

The four-week Summer LEAP Program focuses on essential skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, with teachers creating an individualized program for each student in classes with a 6:1 student/teacher ratio. Appropriate for students who are in need of specialized support in their academics, students with diagnosed learning differences, and those students who want to keep their academic skills fresh over the summer, Summer LEAP empowers students to learn more about how they learn best, and explicitly teaches students the skills to ask for what they need in the classroom.

Options for students entering 1st-5th grades:
8:30-11:30 am Reading/Writing Warriors: $1700

8:30-3:30 pm Reading/Writing Warriors
                      Lunch and Recess
                      Math Masterminds
                      Arts and Engineering $2450

All programs for early childhood students and students entering 1st-5th grades will be held at our Elementary Campus at St. John’s Methodist Church on Cordova and Old Pecos Trail.

Options for students entering 6th-9th grades:
8:30-1:00 pm Reading/Writing Intensive
                      Lunch and Break
                      Executive Functioning Skills
                      Math Intensive $2280

All programs for students entering 6th-9th grades will be held at our Intermediate Campus at
2019 Galisteo, Building B.

Another afternoon option is to take advantage of our partnership with Glorieta Summer Camp. Outdoor activities, games, and swimming are available. Students will be picked up at the May Center for Learning at St. John's at 12:00 pm.
