May Center Executive Director Amy Miller Contributes Expertise to Governor Lujan Grisham’s Literacy Budget Press Conference

At a recent press conference advocating for legislative support for literacy initiatives, May Center Executive Director Amy Miller shared her valuable insights in the realm of literacy intervention. Amy’s contribution occurs around 20 minutes into the recording.


Enroll Now in May Center’s Summer LEAP!

This intensive six-week program focuses on enhancing crucial reading, writing, and oral communication skills within a small group environment. On average, students in Summer LEAP show a one-grade-level improvement in their reading skills over the course of the program!

5:30 - 7:00 pm

May Center will host a learning differences simulation, open to the community. This interactive opportunity allows participants to feel what it is like to have a learning difference in a typical classroom setting.  This experience is essential for parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals who work with children with learning differences.

March 7

5:30 - 6:30 pm

An evening session on Sequential English Education (SEE) instruction will be held for May Center parents. SEE is the language intervention program used at May Center to support the development of reading and writing skills.  During this evening, May Center Director of Literacy Bret Luboyeski will provide an overview of the SEE program, why it is so effective for students with language based learning differences, and take participants through a sample lesson.


Upcoming Admissions Open Houses

Open Houses are designed for families considering May School or Summer LEAP, as well as for providers and administrators from nearby schools. The events will include refreshments, a brief presentation, a school tour, and a question-and-answer session featuring a panel of students and teachers.
