Owl Vision

Due to the holiday weekend, this Hoot is a culmination of the last 2 weeks.

Art: In Ms. Brenda’s classes, the students prepared for Art Night. They also made stencil sketches and collaborated with Science to make their own candles by dipping string into paraffin.

Thank you to all the families who came to Art Night!

Science: Ms. Carol’s classes made homemade candles in collaboration with Art, in addition to making seed bombs in honor of Earth Day. The Intermediate students also learned about parts of a flower and did a flower dissection.

Reading: In Jack’s Reading Room, Ms. Clementine’s class read Max’s Chocolate Chicken and read about the Easter bunny.

Ms. Ellen’s class read The Sunflowers: Vincent van Gogh’s Search for Beauty. In honor of Art Night, the students also watched a video about artist Vincent van Gogh.

Ms. Lisa’s class continued The One and Only Ivan, while Ms. Jennifer’s students continued their novel study of A Wolf Called Wander. Students from Ms. Nia and Ms. Corrie’s classes read a book of their choice.

Ms. Caitlin’s class took a field trip to the Isotopes game, so they missed Library this week!
