Owl Vision

Reading: In Jack’s Library Room this week, Ms. Caitlin’s class read the story, Davy, Soccer Star! Ms. Ellen’s class continued their Judy Moody book, The Famous Pets Contest, and shared about their own pets. Students from Ms. Lisa’s class continued the novel, The One and Only Ivan.

Ms. Jennifer’s class continued reading A Wolf Called Wander and learned about the newly-born dire wolves that have been in the news.

Students from Ms. Nia and Ms. Corrie’s classes have each chosen a book to read and will write a “book buzz” paper which describes the book. They’ll share their papers with the class, and afterwards their papers will be displayed in the hall.

Art: In Art this week, the students made cityscape paintings or finished up their own personal creations.

Science: This week in Science, the Intermediate students performed a variety of mineral tests in order to identify six different mystery minerals. All the classes also created a Sharpie “tie-dye” shirt by discovering that permanent marker is soluble in isopropyl alcohol.

Around the Nest

Our music teachers, Melanie and Paul, brought in their new puppy to visit this week!

Celeste made Roman cheesecake to accompany her presentation on Julius Caesar!

Have a wonderful weekend!
