SIDEWALK ART & SHADOW DRAWINGS
Students in Ms. Gabriella’s and Mr. Scott’s classes are artists! This past week they had fun with sidewalk chalk creations of fantastical creatures, cosmic designs, and pastel patterns. They also made shadow drawings, tracing the formations thrown by tree branches and leaves.
MSL - MULTISENSORY STRUCTURED LITERACY
Academic intervention is at the core of what we provide at May School. While establishing connection and routine with students, our teachers wasted no time in beginning the intervention work. Within the first hour of school on the first day of school, many teachers and students were already diving into language therapy using the Sequential English Education (SEE) program.
SAFETY FIRST
Safety is at the forefront of our thinking when planning a school year. This includes COVID safety practices, safety drills, CPR, and first aid training. During inservice, our staff spent a full day in safety training. Safety training days are not only informative and useful in case of emergencies but also provide staff with bonding opportunities.
MEET MS JAMIE, MAY SCHOOL COUNSELOR
