Thank you Ms. Corrie

From the first day of school, students in Ms. Corrie’s class get the sense that she’s “got this.” She is a leader in our community in many ways but especially when it comes to teaching EF skills to her students.  The level of organization in her classroom makes way for great learning experiences.  She also knows how to have fun with her classes. This year, her students had the opportunity to focus on acts of service and giving to others. As part of this study, her students researched an animal through Best Friends and Ms. Corrie sponsored the animal on their behalf.  Her students were proud to share about their chosen animal at this week’s assembly.

virtual Holiday Celebrations

This year has given us the opportunity to find new ways to celebrate the holidays. School celebrations are no exception to this. Our students have enjoyed sharing holiday traditions with classmates during the school assembly as well as class parties that have included holiday crafts, games and dance parties.

Santa Fe traditions

Wondering what Santa Fe holiday traditions are still happening this year?  Our city is working to keep events going this year.  Families can enjoy the Canyon Road Farolito walk this year from the warmth of your own vehicle.   Thanks to the Santa Fe Kiwanis Club, the New Year’s Eve plaza celebration will be televised for at-home viewing.  You can find details for each of these events here.

If you’re looking for something to do any evening over the winter break, be sure to check out the Santa Fe Holiday Lights group on Facebook.  Here you can find a guide to the best lit houses in town.   There is even a printable scavenger hunt to keep your children entertained in the car. Who knows, maybe YOUR house made the list!
