Popsicle Stick
Chain Reaction

Did you know that popsicle sticks are excellent for demonstrating potential and kinetic energy? Ms. Trudy’s science students do!

They weaved popsicle sticks together just right so that the sticks would stay in place (potential energy). As soon as they let go … well, check out the kinetic energy in the videos below.

Trout in the Classroom

May School is excited to once again have trout in the classroom this school year!

In partnership with the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and Trout Unlimited, rainbow trout were delivered to their new aquatic home here at May School. Students are caring for the trout by feeding them, testing the water quality, and cleaning the tank.
