THANK YOU MS. LINDA

Ms. Linda Holland is a rockstar teacher and tutor.  She teaches SEE and Science to our remote May School students and is a 1:1 tutor to several students.  Her ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of each of her students is incredible.  She often takes SEE or science lesson plans and creates works that are engaging and beneficial for her students.

Here’s what her students have to say:

  • Now I know why learning and science is so important.

  • I’m glad Ms. Linda is my science teacher.

  • She is a good teacher.

Letter to Senators

Over the last several weeks our Intermediate students have been learning about civic engagement.  They have studied important issues that matter to them and have written letters to President Biden, Vice President Harris, and their senators and representatives to express their opinions.  This week is no different as Intermediate students have written letters to our state senators and representatives voicing their opinions on bills that are up for discussion in the current legislative session.  Students have spoken up on important issues like the Green Amendment, which supports the inalienable right to pure water, clean air, a stable climate  and a healthy environment, and Roxy’s, which will ban animal trapping on public lands.  We’re so proud of our students for being active citizens.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

In addition to early academic skills, students in Ms. Daisy’s class regularly practice displaying acts of grace and courtesy. This can be seen when they are waiting for everyone to be ready to eat, waiting patiently in line or playing games. Over the last several weeks, her students have been focusing on good sportsmanship through game playing.
