February 9: Community Seminar: Self-Compassion and Well-Being, 6pm
February 24: Financial Aid priority deadline
THANK YOU, MS KATHY
Ms. Kathy’s enthusiasm and dedication to teaching is evident whether she is teaching math, science or language arts. Another gift of Kathy’s is her ability to connect with area agencies to bring programming to her classroom. With her guidance, Kathy has connected May School with community programs such as RiverSource and Trout Unlimited. We appreciate all she brings to our May School community.
FUN WITH READING
A love of reading can develop at a very young age. Students in Ms. Caitlin’s class have recently burst with excitement for reading. Their current favorite class activity is reading, whether they are listening to Ms. Caitlin read, reading to classmates or on their own. Ms. Caitlin reports that she can barely keep enough books in rotation. Their joy of reading is quite contagious!
MINECRAFT : EDUCATION EDITION
Students in Ms. BB’s language arts classes are using Minecraft to create a world from a novel of their choice. When students learned of this project they were beaming with excitement and couldn’t wait to share with their other teachers about the assignment. We look forward to seeing the Minecraft worlds they create for their novels! If you’re interested in learning more about how Minecraft can be used as an educational tool, check out this video.
