Intermediate ALTERNATIVE winter sports

Intermediate students that participate in the alternative winter sports program spend the morning participating in Wild Reading activities to support building habits of avid readers. They also have open studio time to create and craft in the art room. In the afternoons they participate in winter sports such as ice skating and sledding.

This week in open studio, students put finishing touches on masks and clay sculptures, practiced Chinese ink painting and sketched out ideas for the set design for our upcoming play.

Fifty nifty united states

Elementary students are learning the names of the states along with state capitals. Ms. Megan’s students have taken great interest in NFL football as we approach Superbowl Sunday.  Due to this interest, her class is doing extra work around studying the locations of the NFL teams as a way to help learn certain states and capitals.
