Scenes from Macbeth
Students in Ms. Corrie's Language Arts classes students have been studying Shakespeare’s Macbeth in collaboration with the Upstart Crows of Santa Fe. Students did a close read of the play over several months, learning how to interpret Shakespeare’s language as well as various theatrical skills, including stage combat.
This Sunday, March 27, two dozen students from Santa Fe schools (16 from May School!) present scenes from Macbeth as the culmination of a six-month adventure in Shakespeare by participants in the Youth Shakespeare Festival (YSF), a project of the Upstart Crows and the International Shakespeare Center.
The one-night performance at the Santa Fe Playhouse features selected scenes from Macbeth and lasts about 90 minutes. The actors will perform in full costume with simple staging. Purchase tickets online or at the door.
Parent Support Meetings
The Southwest Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (SWIDA) is proud to present Parent Support Meetings to provide a forum for families of students with Dyslexia. You may join us for one date in the series or all dates.
As a community forum, these discussions will focus on sharing related resources and information, and learning from one another's experiences.
Build community … share resources … learn together. Reserve your spot at sw.dyslexiaida.org!
