GALLERY WALK

Intermediate students have been studying history from the Iron Age through Classical Antiquity. As part of their studies, each student has studied and presented one chapter to their classes. This week, they set up a gallery walk to show their works off to the rest of the school. Way to go, students!

BIRD’S EYE VIEW

Being at the place in math where you get to have the “bird’s eye view” lesson in Ms. Daisy’s class is a big step.  The bird's eye view concretizes the place value system. This week, her three oldest students received the lesson while the younger students watched with curiosity. This lesson helps build concentration, coordination, independence and a true sense of mathematical order.

SOIL STUDIES

Intermediate students have been studying healthy soils throughout the semester.  They have learned about the 5 elements of soil health, how to improve soil, and the role soil health plays in climate change and food security.   This week, remote and in person students began working to improve soil health in plots around the school.

THE HOOT

You know your child is in a multisensory language class when….

“I might be reading "th" words a little wrong because I don't have my two front teeth. I know how to say it, but I need my teeth to make the sound right.”   - 1st grader

“Your teacher is cool. She always listens to you.” - 3 year old to an older student
