Owl Vision
Art: In Art with Ms. Brenda, the students painted stepping stones for our new campus!
Science: Last week, students conducted an owl pellet dissection. They found mostly rodent bones, but also one bird skull!
Intermediate students experimented with different bubble formulas for some bubble science. They also went on a field trip to the watershed, where they investigated and collected data on stream flow, benthic macroorganisms, pH, turbidity, phosphates, and dissolved oxygen at the Agua Sacra monitoring site.
Reading: In Jack’s Reading Room, Elementary classes read Judy Moody and What Genius Thought That Up, while Intermediate students practiced their Julius Caesar play and posted their summer reading recommendations. Check some out here!
Around the Nest
Congratulations to all of our talented athletes who represented May School at the Rio Grande Invitational Track Meet! Students ran fast, supported each other, and demonstrated great sportsmanship.
Our May Families Committee also brought back an old tradition: Field Day! The students had an aMAYzing time. Many thanks to the May Families Committee and all of our parent volunteers for making it such a special day for everyone!
A special thank you to Sam Hotchkiss for taking pictures of the event. Check them out here or at the link below!
Have a wonderful last week of school!
