Pecos national Monument

Mich and Deanna’s students received their Junior Ranger badges this week at Pecos National Monument. They had a wonderful guide who taught them about the ancient Puebloan lifestyle. They were able to go inside a kiva and examine real adobe walls. Inside the museum, they were able to see a timeline of NM history and ancient artifacts from the area.

Reunity resources

Reunity Resources is a community farm in Santa Fe that has been farmed for hundreds of years. As a culmination of soil and climate studies, Pat and Gabriella’s classes visited Reunity Resources this week. Students received an interactive walking tour of their closed loop, regenerative farm operations. They learned about worm vs. aerated composting and raising worms. They were also able to visit the apple orchard and the acre of land that is cultivated for food. Students supported the farm at the end of their tour by helping weed the onion plot. Check out all Reunity Resources has to offer our community!
