Executive functioning skills in your home
We look forward to seeing you this Wednesday, November 13, at 6pm for our community seminar. This event is open to the public. We welcome you to invite your friends.
Community seminars are required for families new to May Center.
What are executive function skills and how do they impact a person’s learning and success? This introduction to executive function will answer these questions and provide specific strategies for supporting a child’s EF skills at school and in the home. Presented by Amy Miller, May Center Executive Director.

We look forward to seeing you and your families at 1pm on Friday, November 22nd for our annual Poetry and Pie event. Students are having a great time rehearsing and preparing costume pieces this performance. Be on the lookout for an email from Amy Miller about what your child should wear on this day.
Kevin Spencer
We were so happy to welcome Illusionist Kevin Spencer back to May Center this week. Kevin spent 25 years traveling the country with one of the most successful magic shows in the country before he refocused his career on working with children with exceptionalities. He is on the faculty in the department of education at Carlow University in Pittsburgh, a research consultant for the Occupational Therapy department and Arts in Medicine program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a subject matter expert and Fulbright Specialist on arts integration for special populations for the U.S. Department of State, and an Approved Provider of Continuing Education for the American Occupational Therapy Association. Our students had a blast learning magic tricks grounded in science, math, and gross and fine motor skill development. We are grateful to the Lensic’s Education Program for bringing Kevin to May Center.
Site santa fe young curators
Congratulations to our young curators who submitted work to SITE Santa Fe’s Young Curators exhibition. Students created works that address urgent global issues. Students never cease to amaze me with their thoughtfulness and awareness with challenges facing our world.
A special thank you to Ms. Marjorie for supporting our students in submitting their work.
