Thinking of Transition?

Are you considering transitioning your child to a new school next year?  Whether you are considering a different school in Santa Fe or may be relocating to a new city, May School can support you in the transition. We can visit with you about support your child may need and are open to meet with you and the potential school.  If your child is transitioning to a public school we can support with the IEP process. Many schools in Santa Fe are now accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year and scheduling shadow days.

To schedule a meeting to discuss transition contact Bret Luboyeski, Director of Student Success, bret@maycenter.org.

usborne book fair

Our in-person book fair has concluded for this year but you can still submit an order through our eFair until 10 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019. You will still have the option for free shipping with the school's books at checkout.

Shop the online eFair here.  The eFair is now open online – all purchases made there will benefit the school.

Each book order will be delivered to the school no later than Friday, November 15th.  If you wish to receive your books earlier you can select direct shipping online through the eFair.  We accept credit cards, checks (payable to Usborne Books), and cash.

Thank you for your help.  By purchasing books, you get wonderful books for your home, and assist The May Center to obtain new materials for the classrooms and library.

FOLK BALLAD EXHIBITION

Have heard the songs about Bianca Buttercup, Captain Oatmeal or Billy the Lizard Creature? Well, May School students did this week. Mx. NewSong’s music students spent the semester exploring music through history with an emphasis on the link between music, storytelling, emotional expression and dance. On Thursday, students performed amazing folk ballads that they wrote in music class. Ask your children for a solo performance at home!

School Spirit

Wow! Students showed a lot of school spirit this week by participating in the daily themes this week. In this case, the pictures speak for themselves.

Halloween

Halloween is always a favorite of our students and staff. The day began with an assembly that allowed students to show off their costumes. At the end of the day students had fun visiting the “haunted hallway” and playing games at our Halloween carnival. Students had the most fun playing games that were created by our Intermediate students. It’s such a joy to see the fruits of our students’ creativity in action.
