In-Person Classes Going Remote
Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in Santa Fe, May School made the challenging decision to move all 1st-8th grade classes to remote learning beginning November 4th. You may read the letter that went out to families who have been participating in in-person learning here. Please know that student learning cohorts will not be changed due to this change.
VIRTUAL SCIENCE FAIR
Students in Ms. Kathy Corcoran’s Science class spent the last several weeks preparing for our first ever virtual science fair. With the careful guidance of Ms. Kathy, rockstar students, supportive parents, and technology, students were able to post their projects in Google Classroom. Students included a report, photos and videos of their projects. We’re so impressed with the work that went into their final presentations!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Online and in person students enjoyed having the opportunity to dress up and show off costumes to their friends this week both virtually and in person. We were so impressed with family creativity with costumes. It seems we have some budding make-up artists in our community!

GENDER AND CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT: A CONVERSATION WITH LISA SELIN DAVIS, AUTHOR OF TOMBOY
Join us on Monday, November 9 at 6:00pm with Lisa Selin Davis, author of the book Tomboy. Register here! In Tomboy, Davis explores the evolution of tomboyism from a Victorian ideal to a twenty-first century fashion statement, honoring the girls and women--and those who identify otherwise--who stomp all over archaic gender norms. She highlights the forces that have shifted what we think of as masculine and feminine, delving into everything from clothing to psychology, history to neuroscience, and the connection between tomboyism, gender identity, and sexuality. Lisa will be in conversation with May Center Executive Director, Amy Miller.
