Think spring!

As the weather warms, Ms. Jamie’s students are getting excited for Spring.  They spent time brainstorming all that makes them think of spring.  What great poems and sentences they wrote in preparation of March 20th, the first day of Spring!

GREEK MYTH COMES ALIVE

For weeks Ms. Mich’s language arts students have been rehearsing for a class production of The Midas Touch and Pandora’s Box. Students memorized lines, created costumes, crafted sets, and performed live via webcast for an audience of parents, grandparents, friends, and classmates. As one audience member wrote in the chat, “We laughed, we cried.” We also learned to be careful what we wish for, and were reminded that no matter how bad things get, hope still remains. Bravo, students!

LETTERS FROM LEGISLATORS

A few weeks ago, as reported here, students wrote letters to President Biden and Vice President Harris. Then students wrote letters and emails to local lawmakers expressing opinions on current legislation.

We are thrilled to report this week that the legislators are listening! Students are excitedly checking their mailboxes and inboxes as replies are coming in. What a great experience for our students!
